Rue La La Leftovers

The racks of Rue La La's "The Final Sale: Act 1" are quite depleted, however there are still some stunning frocks and such that need a happy owner!

These Giuseppe Zanotti sandals say it all: FASHION. They are irresistable, no? They are celebrity and party and diva, but with a sleekness to them. Previously priced at $778 and now marked $199, you ought to grab them up for those nights on the dance floor or dates at swanky lounges. You don't need much more than a simple black dress or jeans and a tank when you're wearing these lovers. They deserve ALL the attention.

This black, cutout Narcisco Rodriguez dress is the kind of splurge that will go a LONG long way. Think about all the weddings, all the New Years parties, all the cocktail parties, all the miscellaneous events, that would require such a garment. You could wear this to death. Seriously; it's black, it's sexy, it's flattering, and it's timeless. Priced at $599.00, you will DEFINITELY get your money's worth. And remember: This dress is a Narcisco Rodriguez creation (originally priced at $1,890) and is a real quality purchase.

Why on earth has this dress not sold out? It is complete perfection. The colors are gorgeous and the sheer fabric along the neckline is pure sex appeal. Diane von Furstenberg has wowed us with this beauty and I can't imagine it'll be around that much longer. Priced at $99, this dress epitomizes the notion of a "steal." Originally priced at $465, I am telling you, GRAB it while it's hot and around.

Another selection that does not deserve to be left behind. It is mind boggling to me how the entire stock of these REPORT sandals has not been devoured. I am loving the two toned style and the mix of textures. These will work straight through to mid fall (at least) and are marked at a low $49 (originally priced at $225). There's no reason not to grab em.

I adore this ever-so-cute M Missoni tank top. The colors pop so much and it is just darling! A mere shirt, but with SO much personality. This is a conversation piece, for sure. Wear it alone, under a blazer, under a cardigan - any way you like. Originally $325 and now $89, this vibrant piece is a must have.

I am head over heels in love with this Carlos Falchi satchel. I don't know what it is, but this bag is the most lovely and classic accessory I've seen in a long time. The leather is ever-so-smooth, but the bag as a whole has a very serious, a very austere quality. It takes me back to a different fashion era where everyone was prim and proper. I just love this bag. What a grand bag for a little price. Originally priced at $1,275 and now $529, this bag will carry ALL your possessions for a long time.

Finally, it wasn't until moments ago that I discovered there was a Rebecca Taylor component to this sale. And, low and behold, I found some decadent designs! One in particular is this FANTASTIC pair of Mary Jane-style pumps. These are so uber sensational and are only $99 (originally $345). This is definitely your perfect heel for your fall wardrobe.

Let's Discuss...

...the fact that Neiman Marcus' Invitation-Only Two-Hour midday sale is the most awesome thing EVER. Is this something that's under the radar? Because if it is, that is GOOD. This is the kind of secret that should stay under wraps (yes, I know, I'm telling you all about it, but that's because you're special).

So, pretty regularly, NM has an online two hour sale where it takes a handfull of luxury items and marks them down by 50%. Marc Jacobs bags, Stella McCartney dresses, Prada sunglasses... the cost of these items is literally chopped in half for two whole hours.

I think the concept is pure genius and assume that NM makes a lot off of it. I will continue to monitor these midday sales until my favorite Stella McCartney bag is marked half off. But in the meantime, maybe I'll find something better. What a deal!

Favorite Trend: Silk Shirts

So, this whole silk button-down shirt trend is really on fire. I stopped in Ann Taylor the other day to find a wide variety of silk beauties. I had to refrain from purchasing these delightful finds as I'm very faithful to the dream of purchasing some Equipment brand shirts (see my previous post).

Madewell has also charmed me with some lovely silk selections. Topshop has similarly offered up some delightful picks. All in all, the silk button-down is comfortable, it's uber stylish, and it's extremely accessible. I could seriously live in four silk shirts and a few slacks and skirts for the fall season.

Madewell has made a perfect version
